What We Do

Membership Development

Over the course of the year we host a variety of workshops and educlasses for our members, with a focus on preparing students for a career in consulting. In Michaelmas Term, we run workshops aimed at students applying for internships and graduate programs, including classes on the different areas of consulting and CV and interview preparedness workshops. We also partner with top consulting and professional services firms to host insight events that give our members deeper knowledge of the opportunities available at specific firms

Social Events

We run a variety of social events during the year, such as pub quizzes and nights out, including collaborations with other Trinity societies.

The best way to keep updated about the events we are hosting is by joining our weekly email list and following our Instagram page. Details on how to join our mailing list can be found on our ‘Join The DUCG’ page.

Practical Experience

Every year the DUCG hosts the Trinity round of the ISCG’s annual inter varsity case competition, as well as helping teams of DUCG members to participate in case competitions around the globe.

Additionally, DUCG members are eligible to participate in ISCG summer, fall, and spring client projects, where teams of students from across Ireland help Irish SME’s with real-world business problems.

Research

In the coming academic year, we plan to publish the inaugural edition of our completely student-written and edited academic journal, ‘The Student Consulting Review’. One of the primary benefits of consulting is the breadth of its subject matter, so authors are allowed to write about a wide range of business-related topics. We accept submissions from DUCG members of all years and disciplines, whose articles will then be vetted and edited by our experienced publications team. For more information about the Review, including how to submit an article for the 2024/25 edition, follow the link below:
