Project Lead
One position per team.
You will be the driving force behind your team’s success and hold ultimate responsibility for the project’s vision, strategy, and delivery. From recruiting and motivating top talent to managing client relationships, you’ll steer the project’s strategic direction and ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to exceptional standards. This role is ideal for those with prior ISCG and/or other leadership experience.

Senior Consultant
One position per team.
You will support the Project Lead in every aspect of project execution. From interviewing prospective consultants to contributing to strategy and deliverables, you’ll be essential to shaping the project’s success. This position serves as a development path for future Project Leads, and is suitable for those eager to develop their leadership skills.

Junior Consultant
Multiple Positions per team.
As a Consultant, you’ll work closely with the Project Lead and Senior Consultant to deliver actionable solutions, high-quality deliverables, and valuable recommendations to clients. This role is ideal for those who work well in collaborative environments and love solving problems.

What Is a Client Project?
Client projects give students the chance to experience what it is like to work as a consultant. Projects are six weeks long and students will be put into a team consisting of 2 project leads and 8 senior consultants. The client the team is working with is a real business who has a task they need the team to complete. The clients from this summer’s projects are Squirrel Events, True North Clothing, Saor Water and Periti Digital. Some other memorable clients we’ve worked with are Riley, Dogpatch Labs and Legally Irish Cider. The clients will provide the project lead with a brief of what they wish to achieve throughout the project, and the whole team work together to make this possible.
Who Can Take Part ?
Any third level student in Ireland !!! As long as you are a member of ISCG. No prior consulting experience is required, or any college course in particular, we encourage students from various courses to apply!
Fun fact: Only about ⅓ of consultants hired by McKinsey, Bain and BCG did a course in finance or economics, other popular courses for consultants are physics, engineering, chemistry and computer science! So regardless of your course, consulting is always an option.
Can I apply If I’m Working This Summer/ Have An Internship?
Yes! The role is completely manageable while working or doing an internship, for the 6 weeks you will be expected to attend a weekly meeting that will last about an hour, and the tasks assigned weekly need about 2-4 hours of attention over the week.
