What is your background/ experience with ISCG and what are you currently doing?

I started ISCG with Jan-Philipp Martini and Ronan Burke in the final year of my undergraduate degree at UCD. We ran the first cohort of students in UCD, sourcing the project and delivering training content, it was great craic tbh!

I’m currently in NYC, building Olas.io, a startup in the online education/recruitment space. The goal is to help recent graduates and career-switchers understand digital careers, identify which one they are best suited for and ultimately connect them to an employer.

Before this, I spent a couple of years at Talent Tech Labs, the world's foremost research and advisory firm specifically focused on Talent Acquisition Technology, where I advised a range of large corporations on their Talent Acquisition Tech strategy.

What did you enjoy most/find most beneficial about ISCG?

The people. People who are drawn to ISCG are people who want to make an impact in their field. I regularly catch up with other members from my time there, especially when they happen to be in New York!

How do you think your experience with ISCG has helped you generally and/or in your career?

Working with ISCG helped me in two ways, firstly it gave me the chance to explore consulting as a career path, and sharpen the skills related to that path, which has proven useful time and time again in my career.

Secondly, the experience allowed me to think outside the box, outside of the usual path for graduates coming out of my course and explore different options. Ultimately, I used the experience to move to New York, begin my career in Enterprise Ireland and will hopefully capitalize on that experience to build Olas.io.
